As primary schools across Northern Ireland gear up for their end of year sports day, Finnebrogue, a leading UK food producer in County Down, offers them the chance to win a visit from the Finnebrogue Food Truck.
Committed to nutritious and delicious food, Finnebrogue will serve mouth-watering hotdogs with Naked Good Little Chipolatas or vegan alternatives, to all children.
With ongoing cost of living pressures and rising childhood obesity rates, it’s important to foster healthy habits early in life. Finnebrogue advocates for promoting a balanced diet and physical activity to support children’s overall well-being.
KERRI SMITH, FINNEBROGUE’S MARKETING MANAGER EXPLAINS HOW SCHOOLS CAN GET INVOLVED IN THE INITIATIVE:
“We’re delighted to offer primary schools across Northern Ireland the opportunity to win a visit from the Finnebrogue Food Truck at their school sports day. We will serve up freshly made hotdogs with our delicious Naked Good Little Chipolatas, which kids will love.
“Developed by our master sausage makers, our Naked Good Little chipolatas support gut health through the addition of chicory inulin (a prebiotic) – which gives the chipolatas the highest level of fibre of any sausage in the market. Linked to mood, behaviour, and cognitive abilities, a healthy gut is pivotal for a healthy body and mind. We will also serve up tasty vegan alternatives for non-meat eaters.
“By providing filling and nutritious food at school sports day, we not only fuel children’s bodies, but help them understand the important relationship between a balanced diet and physical exercise for optimal performance and well-being.
“To enter the competition, schools simply need to visit the news section of our website and download the entry form. The entry form will include instructions for the children to get creative and draw their ultimate loaded hotdog or burger. From classic combinations to wild creations, we want to see the imaginative masterpieces that Northern Ireland’s young artists can dream up!”
Finnebrogue is passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and supports a number of youth and sports initiatives in County Down including the Jimmy’s 10k road race in Downpatrick. The food producer also supports many schools and community clubs through the donation of food for their fundraiser barbecues.
The Finnebrogue Naked range, available at leading retailers across Northern Ireland, is made without artificial preservatives, additives, colours or flavours.
The sports day competition is open to all primary schools based in Northern Ireland, and the winning school will be carefully chosen from the entries submitted. The deadline for submission is 24th May 2024, so schools are encouraged to act quickly for their chance to win.
