Downpatrick based Finnebrogue Artisan has won a national supply deal with Asda to produce five exclusive Extra Special Christmas lines, which will be available in over 300 stores across the UK this festive season.
Each of the five products have been created especially for Christmas 2021, and include Extra Special Vegan Crabless Croquettes to start, with a side option of Extra Special Vegan No Pigs in Blankets. The meat lines include an Extra Special Pigs in Blanket Fondue, Extra Special Pork, Honey & Oak Smoked Bacon Stuffing Wreath and Extra Special Pork, Leek & Bacon Stuffing Parcels.
Responding to the ever-growing demand for plant-based dietary options, Finnebrogue spotted an opportunity in the market for festive vegan sides and starters and developed the Extra Special Crabless Croquettes and Extra Special Vegan No Pigs in Blankets to allow Asda shoppers to enjoy a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
Finnebrogue’s relationship with Asda began in 2014 with the supply of Extra Special sausages and has grown over the years to include an innovative plant-based range as well as butchery items and Extra Special products.
