Transforming a household name sausage brand into a complete eating experience.

When we took over sausage production for the Paul Rankin brand, we really made use of Paul’s creativity and connection to the land.

Paul Rankin is a Northern Irish restauranteur, personality and TV chef known for his creativity and connection to the land.  For years now, Paul has championed artisan producers in Ireland and the UK. He came to us in 2009 with an existing brand produced by another manufacturer.

To meet our animal welfare standards, we upgraded the specification to Outdoor Bred pork, then we worked closely with Paul to produce an Irish sausage based on his traditional recipe. We create a traditional Irish sausage that tastes great on its own, but works especially well as the star ingredient in a complete meal.

In the first year since re-launch, sales are up by 25%, and together we’ve won a Great Taste Award. It’s been so successful that now we’re working on expanding the range to include bacon and gourmet burgers.
